Nature Suspended: Lucite Dandelion Lamp
Striking mid-century modern table lamp featuring a rectangular block of transparent blue and clear Lucite enclosing a delicate dandelion seed head (Taraxacum) preserved within the acrylic. The botanical specimen appears suspended in space, creating a dramatic floating effect enhanced by the contrasting cobalt-blue and clear sections of the cast Lucite. Mounted with a simple metal standard and fitted with a cylindrical cream shade. A classic example of the fascination with natural forms and synthetic materials that characterized decorative arts of the 1960s and 1970s.
