Framed and Pressed 19th century "Herbier" Botanical Specimens 8" x 0.75" x 10.5" each.  Sold as set of 4.

Herbier specimens were collected and pressed from plants found around the world. In the late 19th century collecting herbier was a popular pastime for affluent Europeans; collectors spent hours drying, pressing, and mounting specimens they found on their travels. Most of them have the original paper strip mounts and the names of the plants either written on the sheet or on an attached label.
