Rectangular Chrysocolla Box with Gilt-Brass Hinge, 6" Wide

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A striking rectangular box fashioned from richly variegated chrysocolla, displaying vivid tones of turquoise, emerald green, earthy brown, and russet. The stone’s naturally mottled surface creates an almost painterly effect, beautifully contrasted by the box’s clean geometric form. The hinged lid opens to reveal a fitted black interior accented by a polished gilt-brass hinge.

The name chrysocolla derives from the ancient Greek chrysos, meaning “gold,” and kolla, meaning “glue,” a reference to a copper-based material historically used in goldsmithing. Prized today for its remarkable coloration and distinctive natural patterning, chrysocolla makes this box as much a decorative object as a showcase for the beauty of the stone.

Dimensions: 4.25" L × 6" W × 1.75" H.
