A striking pair of polished ammonite fossil specimens, dating to the Jurassic to Early Cretaceous period, approximately 100–150 million years ago. Carefully cut and polished to reveal their remarkable spiral structures, the fossils display intricate internal chambers and natural mineralization in warm tones of honeyed amber, sandy tan, ochre, rust, and deep chocolate brown. The highly polished cross-sections emphasize the ammonites’ extraordinary geometry and richly varied coloration, transforming these ancient marine fossils into natural works of art.
Each specimen is presented on a minimalist black metal stand, providing a crisp contemporary contrast to the fossils’ warm, organic character. Displayed together, the pair combines natural history with sculptural presence and would make a distinctive addition to a library, study, console, or collection of natural curiosities, equally at home in traditional or contemporary interiors.
