This extensive early 20th-century French Gien faience dinner service is decorated in the celebrated Coq (Rooster) pattern, one of the manufactory's most iconic designs. Rendered in the vibrant Imari-inspired palette of cobalt blue, iron-red, green, and ochre on a creamy white ground, the decoration centers on a proud rooster amidst flowering branches and stylized blossoms, accompanied by butterflies and delicate insects, all framed by an intricate blue border.
