PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A Directoire period red-painted tole chandelier, late 18th to early 19th century, of shield-form central body suspended by chains, decorated with gilt classical motifs including a winged figure and crossed torches within a laurel wreath, surmounted by radiating sunburst detail; issuing four arms terminating in flared candle cups with matching tole bobeches, retaining a richly patinated surface.
